Yes it's true. Australia has joined the rest of the world to help to improve the conditions we are facing today. The last country that still hasn't signed the Kyoto Protocol is USA.
The objective is to achieve stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. So far so good i have to say. But as i mentioned before not all of the participants do their "job" efficiently.
I hope Australia will be on par with the requirements. By that i don't mean that the Aussies won't be able to achieve the goal of reducing the emissions but i mean that with the highest emissions per capita of any developed country in the world, and the 17th largest total greenhouse polluters, even with only 20 million citizens, their job is definately hard to do!
